Treasures in the Country

You just never know what you might run across when driving down old rural roads.  I spotted this gem on our way to a winery and knew I would be u turning just as soon as I dropped Ryann off.
I wasn’t wearing snake boots and didn’t feel like chancing it.  I walked up and down the drive way a few times trying to find a composition I liked.  This was my favorite vantage point.  Any higher and you could see houses in the background.  I really wanted to keep the cactus in the shot, but shooting with more of a side car view just didn’t work for me.

It is a shame that antiques like this are left to weather, but the rusted body does give the subject so much more personality.

  1. We had an old car like that in our yard for a while. It sold as soon as our son put it on the market.

  2. A classic photo for a classic car !
