A Day Without the Boys

This last weekend I had the opportunity to go to Cowboy Stadium for a photo walk.  Now I know this building is huge.  I’m not sure how many miles away I live from it, but as soon as I turn off my residential street I can see the stadium looming in the distance.  But man, this place is big.  We spent about 3 hours walking around, up and down this behemoth and by the end I was tired.

We met up just after sunrise and spent the first hour walking around the outside.  I hate to say this, but finding creative angles to shoot this was a bit difficult.  My brilliant self also decided that since I like to shoot things often from a low angle I should probably wear jeans.  I sure am glad our indoor tour began at 8, the Texas heat has definitely been turned on.

Today’s image is one of the more interesting shots I managed to get while exploring the outside of the building.  Initially I had thought I would try and make it to the other side and catch the sun cresting over the dome.  I decided I didn’t want to push my luck and not get back in time for the tour.
