This shot was taken in one of the taller buildings in Niles City. I can only imagine that when this plant was in use this was a very boring view. And by boring I mean a view of a growing city with very little traffic, no gray green smog covering the city.
Where I work now I have a similar view of downtown ft worth and it breaks my heart to see it covered in yellow smog all the time. I look forward to winter and rain as they both seem to wash away the pollution.
Where is Niles City?
Niles City was what is now the stock yards and surrounding area. It was annexed by Fort Worth. A few of the building that remain are from the Swift and Armour meat packing plant.
