A couple of weeks ago I gave you a sneak peak of a photo shoot I did with Sierra. We spent the afternoon together shooting pose after pose and I can’t even remember how many wardrobe changes she made. Today I am proud to be able to show you the end results of that session.
Sierra’s mother came to me with this idea of wanting to create magazine covers as posters to hang up for her quinceañera. This was going to fit perfectly with her theme of Hollywood. I loved the idea and couldn’t wait for the opportunity to shoot this.
We ended up shooting on location using a white muslin backdrop and 2 SB-600 flash units. Camera left was a 24″ Softbox and camera right I was using a shoot through umbrella. The SB-600’s did alright, but were probably not the ideal choice of lighting for this scenario. The heat build up and power requirements over the duration of the shoot became noticeable.
I think I was just as anxious to see the end results as Sierra. Denise was able to create some outstanding magazine covers. The finished products printed beautifully. I am so thankful I was able to take part in this project and celebrate with Sierra and her family for her quinceañera.
