Over the last few years I have been an admirer of Trey Ratcliff and his ability to create stunning HDR images. He has spent countless hours refining his technique using different software programs such as Photoshop and Photomatix.
As of recently I have been trying to look at scenes differently and imagine it as an HDR. This is a form a photography that I find very beautiful. If done correctly it captures both real and surreal simultaneously.
A few months ago I saw the sneak peak video that NIK software posted in regards to their entrance into the HDR software market. After watching the demo I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. And patiently I have been waiting for months. Even last night I was scouring their website for some clue as to when they would be releasing it.
Today NIK announced that the pain of waiting would be over in a couple more months. The release of HDR Efex Pro will be this October. If this program continues to bring forth the excellence and ease of use that their other software does I am sure nobody will be disappointed.
So for now I will hold off on my endeavor to begin creating HDR photos.
